bored

I'm trying to re-read my resource material for my book on Balto. I'm SO bored! I feel like taking a nap. The children's book stuff that I have, sadly, is the most boring... especially the chapter books and beginning readers. It's drudgery getting through it. How can kids be expected to learn to read with such dry material? I hope to change this and make my book more exciting... but seriously, this is why I didn't like to read when I was little!

Perhaps you should toss in a talking muskrat or a berry that makes you fly after you eat it...just a few helpful suggestions :)

We have one of the Balto EZ readers and my son loved it. But I think the love stemmed more from the accomplishment of his first "chapter book" than the actual story.

I'll be excited to see what you come up with!
